The following table lists general improvements that have been made to the ARRIS++ menu system.
The Macro Tools have been enhanced to remember the last three custom macros that were used in addition to the standard tmp0, tmp1, tmp2 and tmp3 macros. |
The Viewport Outline
feature has been significantly enhanced. A new selection has
been added to the ARRIS++
Options menu that gives the user control over when the
viewport border lines are to be automatically displayed. With
the advent of this feature, it is now extremely easy to use
this powerful tool.
If the appropriate option is selected, when working within a fill screen viewport, any command that updates the screen will automatically display the viewport border outline. This make working with viewports significantly easier. |
The following table lists general modifications and enhancements that have been made to the ARRIS++ menu system documentation.

ARRIS++ OPTIONS Menu
The VIEWPORT BORDER LINES DISPLAY: option has been added to the menu.
When working within a viewport, tools have been developed which
draw a temporary box on the screen to indicated the extents of the
current viewport window. This option determines when these lines
will be automatically displayed. Choose one of the following
options:
If NEVER is selected, then ARRIS will never automatically display these lines. If MENU CONTROLS ONLY is selected, then any time that the screen is panned or zoomed using the window arrows, slider bars or zoom button, the viewport border lines will be automatically displayed. If ALL COMMANDS & CONTROLS is selected, then any menu control or system command that updates the screen will automatically cause the viewport outline to be displayed. |
The following table lists fixes that have been applied to existing sigmacs to correct problems and bugs.

When the pop-up editing window was dismissed, often the volatile data on the ARRIS menus would be garbled or would disappear from the screen altogether. A call to refresh the menu system was added to correct this problem. |
The following table lists revisions that have been made to existing sigmacs in order to provide some expanded or new capability beyond that offered by the original command.
