The following table lists general improvements that have been made to the ARRIS++ menu system.
This release of the ARRIS++ Enhanced Menus package has been coordinated with the latest A5 update for ARRIS 2001, available from Sigma Design International. All users are encouraged to upgrade to A5, although this module should continue to work without problems under the previous A4 update.
This release of ARRIS++ now supports an incremental patch feature. This means that small patch files can now be distributed for minor updates to ARRIS++ without requiring the reinstallation of the entire application module.
The following new ARRIS++ commands were added to the
TOOLBAR command database:
NOTE: Those commands marked with a * require that the ARRISplus application module be installed. |
The following table lists general modifications and enhancements that have been made to the ARRIS++ menu system documentation.
The ARRIS++ User's Manual has been completely updated to reflect all changes and enhancements made to the module. |
In the ARRIS Menus: User Interface Manual, the documentation for the menu definition source's FILL:txcol parameter was revised to indicate the full range of available options, similar to those used by the $mntext() utility. |
Links were added to all of the ARRISplus menus to provide direct access to the application documentation. |

DIAGNOSE & REPAIR Button
The DIAGNOSE & REPAIR function on the EDIT and
EDIT SHORT pull-down menus has been enhanced. In addition
to providing support for the repair of ARRIS database
opcodes, a right-clicking on the button will now execute a
generalized version of the command that is completely independent
of the currently selected entity type. Because of this, the
right-click command will work even if the button is currently
greyed out.
The consolidated REPAIR LAYER pop-up menu has been redesigned with the following features:

|
Fixed a bug introduced by a previous change to ARRIS++ that prevented the "New Drawing" command from working under ARRIS 2001. |
:mn_qry
|
Fixed an annoying bug that was causing the pattern status menu and another status menu to go into an infinite loop as they each tried to assert themselves in place of one another. The menus are now much better behaved. |
Revised the sigmac to correct a problem when matching existing RI entity parameters which would not display on the RI status menu. This bug was introduced as a byproduct of ARRIS++ enhancements made to other sigmacs to support the isolation of the RI name/library from that being used by the pattern menus. |
